Land of religious freedom?

An interesting piece (if you get past the slightly angry tone) on the so called ‘ground zero mosque’ on MSNBC. Keith Olbermann clears up some of the confusion about the plans for a Muslim community centre near Ground Zero. There has been, he claims, a Muslim community centre near that spot since 1970 – before the world trade centre was built. They are merely looking for new premises near their existing site which are fit for their purposes.

Keith Olbermann: There is no ‘Ground Zero Mosque’.

Either a country has religious freedom, or is doesn’t. There is no room for pretending to have religious freedom while shouting down everything that disagrees with one particular worldview.
